Septic pump repair when the alarm will not stop.

Septic pump repair gets an aerobic or pump-tank system moving water again after a pump, float, or panel part fails. Call when the septic alarm goes off, the sprinkler heads stop spraying, or the pump tank keeps filling.

Septic pump inside an open riser

We repair submersible pumps, aerobic sprinkler pumps, and control panels, down to the timers, relays, and capacitors inside. We are open 24/7, because an alarm at midnight still needs an answer.

When you need septic pump and alarm repair

  • The alarm light is on or the buzzer is sounding.
  • The aerobic sprinkler heads have stopped spraying on their normal schedule.
  • The pump runs constantly or cycles on and off.
  • The breaker for the septic system keeps tripping.
  • The pump tank is full but the field or spray area stays dry.
  • The air pump on the aerobic unit is silent or noisy.

What we do on site

  1. Read the panel. We check which alarm is lit and whether the panel has power. Many calls start with a tripped breaker or a blown fuse.
  2. Test the controls. We test the timer, relays, and capacitor with a meter. A failed capacitor or relay can look like a dead pump, and it is a much smaller fix.
  3. Check the floats. We open the pump tank and check the float switches. A float stuck in the wrong position can keep the pump off or run it without stopping.
  4. Pull and test the pump. If the controls check out, we pull the pump and test it. We repair or replace it and make sure the discharge line and check valve are clear.
  5. Run a full cycle. We run the system through a cycle and watch the spray heads or the discharge. Then we clear the alarm and show you what a normal panel looks like.

Septic pump and alarm repair in Montgomery County

Clay soils here drain slowly, so aerobic spray systems are common, and every one of them depends on a pump and a panel. When the pump quits, treated water has nowhere to go. The tank fills, and the alarm is the warning before it backs up.

Texas requires every aerobic system to be under a maintenance contract with an inspection at least every four months. We are a state-licensed maintenance provider, so a repair visit can also get a lapsed system back on schedule.

What affects the cost

  • Whether the fix is a panel part or the pump itself.
  • The type of pump: aerobic sprinkler pump or submersible effluent pump.
  • Whether floats, the check valve, or the discharge line also need work.
  • How easy the pump tank is to reach and open.
  • Whether the tank needs pumping before we can work on the pump.

We give free estimates, and we beat any written quote. Call (936) 209-5078 and tell us which light is on.

How to get ready

When the alarm sounds, cut back on water use right away: no laundry, no dishwasher, and short showers. You can silence the buzzer at the panel, but leave the system powered so we can read it.

After the repair, watch the panel for a few days and call if the alarm comes back. Keep the area around the spray heads clear of mulch and toys so the water spreads evenly.

Frequently asked questions

Can I just turn off the septic alarm?

You can silence the buzzer, and most panels have a button for it. The alarm light should stay on until the cause is fixed. It means water is rising in a tank that is not emptying.

How much time do I have after the alarm goes off?

It depends on the tank and how much water the house uses. Cutting back on water buys time, but it does not fix the pump. Call as soon as you hear it.

Why did my alarm go off after a heavy rain?

Rain can soak into a tank through lids or risers that are not sealed, and the level rises fast. The pump may also struggle to push water into ground that is already saturated. We check both when we come out.

Do you repair aerobic control panels, or only replace them?

We repair them. Most panel failures come down to a timer, relay, capacitor, or alarm part. We replace the part that failed instead of the whole panel when that fixes it.

Why are my sprinkler heads spraying weakly?

It can be a worn pump, a clogged spray head, or a leak in the line to the heads. We check the pump pressure first. Then we clean or replace the heads that are blocked.
